Helen Shulman was first trained as a potter, though the majority of her artistic education was in drawing and painting at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. Married to an avid fly fisherman, she has spent many happy hours sketching alongside the challenging rivers and streams of Montana. She and her husband now reside amongst the gentler mountains of Vermont.
